Vanessa & Bobby's E-session 12.19.09

Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Vanessa and Bobby's engagement portraits. It was quite the special weekend for Vanessa. See Bobby is a marine. Which means months could go by before they get to see each other. Vanessa and Bobby are getting married July 24, 2010. This will be my very first military wedding. I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph their wedding. As you can see the way they gaze at each other they are so much in love. It was exciting watching the two together. I hope you both have a wonderful holiday together. Thanks for sharing your limited time together with me yesterday. Enjoy!

I Believe in Santa....

Christmas time is a special time of the year. The birth of a tiny baby born in a manger. Who would have known this baby would become our savior. Sacrifice his life for our sins? And who would have thought we would celebrate his death and resurection? Something that happened so many years ago, still has a powerful meaning. I heard a three year old once say. Christmas is when Santa comes down the chimney and leaves presents under the tree. One child elaborated about rudolph and how hard he has to work just for the one night his nose would shine so bright, that it would guide the sleigh. Santa likes cookies and milk, the reigndeer like oats. A child see's Santa walk in the room. Their little eyes light up the room Their smiles so enchanting. The magic of Christmas, started long ago in a manger in Bethlehem. Ask your child what the true meaning of Christmas is. And when you do be sure to write down what your child says. Ten years from now pull that question out and ask your child that question again, and compare notes. I believe in Santa, I had the opportunity to witness first hand the magic of Christmas..........He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night."

Amy & Derek Married 11.27.09

It's been a busy year at Timeless Expressions. We saw over 30 couples unite in marriage this year. I am proud to have been a part of their special day. Amy & Derek were married this past Friday. WOW what a day. In the midst of November feeling like Spring. Amy and Derek were married at the Provincel Chappel at UMSL and it couldn't have been a more beautiful ceremony. Amy and Derek are such a dear couple. As I look back on the past year. I have been blessed by the good Lord to have met such extraordinary couples. Amy and Derek were my last couple for 2009. A year I will never forget. So for me a few months rest, relaxation, perhaps catching up and looking ahead to 2010. Congratulations Amy & Derek! Have a wonderful time on the much deserved honeymoon. Special thanks to Derek with Love and Life Photography for his assistance. I look forward to working with you in 2010. Here's a sneak peak from their day.

Mary & Nick's E-session

Mary & Nick's wedding will be my first destination wedding. I'm so excited. A Wedding in Paradise. The date is set for June 3, 2010 at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton resort, Lucea, Jamaica. We talked about the wedding during their engagement session which nearly left me salivating for the beach, sand and left a flavor in my mouth for something fruity with an umbrella in it. My son Chase accompanied me during Mary and Nicks engagement session. Mary teaches 4th grade. Ironically my son is in 4th grade. I remember hearing him say when we left. Mommy I can't believe she's a 4th grade teacher. I remember when I was that young. I couldn't believe teachers actually ate the same food that I did. Teachers are one of the gateway's to our children's future. I hold them up high on my heirachy. Again, Chase digs the upclose and personal shots. Can you guess which ones he took? His last question of the day was. Mommy.........I am ready to take on the world of wedding photography. So can I come to Jamaica with you. I won't charge you to much. Ummmmmmmmm. Here's previews from Mary & Nicks engagement session. Viva Jamaica!

Studio Fun

This lil fella did so well in the studio. After his shoot we rewarded him with some twizzlers and then the radio came on. BAM!&^%* Let the sugar rush begin. This is a hoot. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. His expressions we're priceless. After we buzzed him up with sugar we sent him home with Mom. I bet he slept well.

Bryan Rocks The Class of 2010

Piggott High School. Not a familiar school in this neck of the woods. Piggott High... Home of the Mowhawks. Piggott High is in Piggott, Arkansas, You know The Razerbacks? Bryan is a small town country boy who came to the big city for Senior Portraits. Bryan is the class of 2010. Check it out!

Sara & Andrew's E-session

As the wedding season starts to come to an end for me for a few months, the engagement sessions for 2010 are in full swing. I met Sara & Andrew in Old Towne St. Charles for their engagement session. We started at the Old Capital. Actually Missouri's first capital. I'm not originally a Missouri native so I learn a lot from each couple I photograph. That day I learned alot of things I didn't know. A history lesson you could say. I brought my protoge' along with me. Chase, is 10 and wants to be a "fertographer". On occasion I have been known to let him come along and take some pictures. He has been shooting sessions with me for about a year now and his work is starting to take some shape. Chase loves close up shots, and angles. He giggles when two people kiss. But is WAY to young to photograph weddings. But mom I could play my gameboy in the back of the church........ummm... Perhaps in a few years. Sara and Andrew are getting married October 16, 2010. So save the date..... Here's a peak from their e-session. Thanks Pooh Bear for being such a creative lil guy. I think he has a future..........don't you?

Suzi & Dale Married 11.14.09

I met Suzi & Dale last March as they started preparing for this big day. We talked about the big day and yucked it up for hours like we had known each other for years. I knew from the moment I met this couple there was something special about them. The more I got to know them the more I learned how can you not love Suzi & Dale. The love they have for each other is unstoppable. They are best friends and this past Saturday Suzi and Dale were married at the beautiful First Unitarian Church. No matter who you were a guest, wedding party member or "the photographer" Suzi and Dale made you feel like you were a part of the family. And the day could not have been any more beautiful than if was if you can remember last weekend. November 14, 2009 Sunny and WARM, mother natures way of teasing us. Of course this weeks weather has proven to us of what is yet to come. To Suzi and Dale I would like to thank you for welcoming us with open arms and giving us the honor of being a part of your day. Congratulations to the both of you. I have a feeling someday our paths will cross again. PS Lemon drops rock! Special thanks to Derek with Love and Life Photography. You rock to Derek! Have an awesome time in Jamaica Guys! Here's a sneek peek from your day.

Class of 2010 Here Comes Lindsay

Unlike the warm weather we had this weekend, and as I am playing catch up. Lindsay had Senior Portraits taken last weekend. Denis some of these are for you. Can you guess? Scenes from Lindsay's Senior Portrait Session.

Jennifer & Paul's E-session

The one thing I don't think will forget about this past October was the rain. The weather this whole year has been rather unusual. Weddings on Sunday and 4 shoots on Sunday and a 75% chance of rain. The rain held off for the most part, but decided to rear his presence during Jennifer and Pauls engagement session. We made it thru the session with mostly sprinkles and managed to stay dry. I think we captured some pretty cool portraits. Jennifer and Paul are getting Married May 1, 2010. What a gorgeous couple. I'm looking forward to their special day. Here's a peak from their session. Enjoy!

Melissa & John's E-session

I absolutely love this time of the year. A palette of color so vibrant. Everything pops. Last weekend was perfect for that. I met up with Melissa and John for their engagement portraits. They are getting married October 2, 2010. October has to be the new June. A great time of the year for a wedding. Melissa and John took me on a little hike thru a nature reserve in Godfrey. I learned some pretty cool things and also learned how out of shape I am. New Years Resolution! Can you guess what it is? I will admit....it was pretty energizing. I think you'll see in this preview.

Kelly & Seth Married 10.24.09

Saturday was such a wonderful day as we celebrated the union of Kelly and Seth. There aren't enough words to describe how beautiful this couple is. As you watch this preview you will notice the proud fathers of this couple. Such loving families. We felt so welcomed by their warmth and kindness. The ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Clements Church of Rome. After a beautiful ceremony we visited some penguins at the zoo. This was something that was very important to both Kelly and Seth. We we're going to initially do this with their engagement session, but weren't able to find a parking spot. Go figure.....nice weekend, who wants to stay inside. I learned so much about Kelly and Seth the day of their engagement session. Their love for nature, was so exciting. Kelly also wanted to have portraits down in historic Kirkwood. We were lucky to catch beautiful rays of the sun as it turned to dusk. Perhaps some of the most beautiful settings for portraits. The reception, we have to talk about the reception. This was my first time at Le Chateau (Ces and Judy's) What a wonderful staff, and talk about food. It was absolutely amazing. I am still trying to find a recipe to the carrot souffle. I'll let you know if I find it. I don't think I could ever compare to Ces and Judy's. Millenium music, fantastic entertainment kept the night moving and the dancefloor hoping. And again I was blessed to have Derek with Love and Life Photography assist this wonderful event. Thank you Derek, I Love working with this man! Most importantly thank you Kelly, Seth, your family and friends for having Derek and myself spend this amazing day with you. I hope the memories we have captured live forever in your hearts. Sneak Peak Time!

Stephanie & Chris E'Session

Last weekend I took a little trip to Columbia for Stephanie and Chris's engagement session. The Home of the Missouri Tigers. The sorority houses were all decorated in anticipation of the big homecomming weekend which happens to be this weekend. Yeah we hit the campus. It was pretty awesome to. At this point I don't think Stephanie and Chris are to worried about who will win. Come June 19, 2010 they will both be winners. See why.

Lauren & Mark's E-session

Music is the passion of their heart besides each other. Lauren and Mark are getting married June 13, 2010 at the New Town Wedding Chapel. I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with them a couple of weekends ago for their engagement portraits. I learned several things about them. Their love for music of all types. Their love for life and especially their love for each other. WOW what a couple. It's sneak peak time! Enjoy!

Jennifer & Kelsey's E-Session

May 22, 2010 seems so far off from now. But for Jennifer and Kelsey it can't get here soon enough. I met with Jennifer and Kelsey a couple weeks ago for engagement pics at this beautiful historic home near Collinsville. It turns out this is a pretty popular place for portraits. The nostalgia of this home reminded Jennifer of one of her favorite movies, "Sweet Home Alabama". Me to!. The land scaping around this home was a photographers haven. The day was so pretty. I have to laugh sometimes when I look at the pictures. I have been struck with this animal attraction. Animals. Ground hogs, frogs, squirrels you name it. Jennifer and Kelsey were sitting in this lovely wicker furniture when out of the blue this cat jumps up on their lap and strikes a pose. Gotta love it. Congratulations Jennifer and Kelsey. We look forward to May. When the flowers will be blooming and warmer temps will be around. Scenes from Sweet Home Alabama.... I mean Jennifer & Kelsey's E-session

Jamie & Clint 10.10.09

Baseball fans are you listening up? It was a home run this past Saturday for Jamie and Clint. Fans gathered from all over to watch this major event at St. Rose Catholic Church in Breese, Il. That October chill was in the air, the sun was bright and the fans cheered for their favorite team. The bases were loaded in the top of the 7th inning when Jamie and Clint said their vows. Holy Cow did you see that! Standing room only baby! The final score 10:10 in 9 innings. What a spectacular day for Jamie and Clint. I absolutely love watching these two. Clint... such a sentimental guy with his charm and Jamie? well I know who Clint's personal cheerleader is. Jamie has this smile about her. You see that smile and you just plain feel good. By now Jamie and Clint are enjoying their honeymoon. I'm sure their fans will cheer them on when they return. Congratulations Jamie and Clint, and thank you to their WONDERFUL families and friends for making this such a spectacular event. Special thanks to Doreen for your assistance. I absolutely love having you along. You rock baby! Here's a peak from Jamie and Clint's all star day!

Angie, Mark and Drew 10.04.09

Fall has definately arrived. The colors are changing and soon will reach their peak in a few weeks. I met up wiht Angie, Mark and Drew this past Sunday at Lafayete Park. Angie and Mark will are getting married February 6, 2010. They will be kicking off our wedding season. Angie and Mark brought their precious lil Drew with them Sunday. Drew brought back many wonderful memories for me. I have 2 boys ages 14 and 9. The age where it isn't to cool have mommy kiss you at the bus stop. The age where they want to be their own person and pull away towards their own independence. Watching Drew brought back many fond memories I have of my boys when they were that age. He is to cute. Checkin out the flowers. Seeking out new surroundings. So full of life and adventure. Here's a peak from their portrait session. As Drew would say......."Check it Out"

Jillian & Geoff 10.03.09

Jillian & Geoff were married this past Saturday at the beautiful Chandler Hill Vineyards in Defiance. We started the day off at Jillian's sisters house where the girls got ready for the big event. Then off to Geoffs for the first glance. "The Moment" The look of love as Geoff saw his beautiful bride for the first time. Then off to Forest Park for portraits before the big event at the vineyard. The vineyard, rolling hills lined with miles and miles of grape vines that will someday produce a wine that will refresh the palate. The ceremony began that evening, and as the night progressed the bride and groom would soon dance At Last under a full bright October moon. Congratulations Jillian and Geoff for letting us be a part of your special day. Many years of happiness to the both of you. Here's a peak at the day.

Katie & Jason 09.26.09

You can't imagine all the planning that goes into that special day. The dress, flowers, cake, guests, where to get pictures. You plan for the one day that will change your lives forever. You pray for sun, mild temperatures. Sometimes the rain can't stay away, and sometimes it plays with us, dangling us along like a child. When we arrived at Sacred Heart Catholic Church around 12:30 the sky was dark and the rain poured. I remember praying for the rain to let up if only for a few hours so Katie and Jason could get the pictures they had hoped for. Just as Katie and Jason were pronounced husband and wife, the wedding coordinator looked at me and said. Look the sun is shining. And that it was. After the beautiful ceremony had finished we ventured to the City Garden, Busch Stadium, Forest Park and Ted Drews for pictures. The rain held off for the most part. We arrived at Forest Park and the rain made it's appearance again. This time it was a short shower. The good Lord was watching over us. He blessed Katie and Jason with a double rainbow. Now I have heard that if it rains on your wedding day that is good luck, but what if you get a double rainbow? How often does that happen? My prediction for Katie and Jason is a lifetime of happiness. Here is a preview from their special day!

Maddox is One

I met Robert and Courtney in 2007 when they celebrated their marriage. It was the last Saturday in March. It was a warm day. I do believe it was 82 degrees. Hey we live in St. Louis. You never what the weather has in store for us. The more I learned about Robert and Courtney the more I learned we had in common. Robert loves salt water fish. My husband is a salt water fanatic. My Rob and Robert would soon become acquainted. Time went by and I saw this review I had received on wedding wire. The one thing that caught my eye was Mommytobe. Of course I had to call Courtney to get the 411. Soon Maddox came along. The one thing I love about being a photographer is.... How do I fill in the blank for this. I love weddings. Its a time of love and new beginnings. Then the families begin. Babies. Family portraits. Graduations etc. Call us memory catchers, freezing a special moment in time. Thought provokers. I have been able to watch Robert and Courtney grow in their love for each other and their son. Capturing the expressions and turning them into memories of a lifetime. Thats what I'm about. You'll see. Just look at Courtney and Robert as they adore Maddox. Happy Birthday Maddox!

Katy & Tim Married 09.19.09

It was another beautiful day last Saturday for a wedding. Katy and Tim's day finally came. Of course Katy was beaming with beauty. And Tim beamed as he saw his lovely bride for the first time as she walked down the isle to meet her soon to be husband. Katy and Tim, well lets just say you never knew what they were going to do when the camera was pointed at them. That's what made that day so exciting for me. The entire wedding party was a blast. I don't think I have laughed so hard as I did that day. Thank you Katy & Tim for letting us be a part of your special day. I would also like to thank Derek from Love and Life Photography for his assistance. Here's Katy and Tim's sneak peak. Enjoy!

Caitlin & Kyle's E-Session 09.13.09

What seemed to be an ordinary Sunday for some, turned out to be a pretty cool one for others. Last Sunday I had the pleasure of meeting Caitlin and Kyle at Carondelet park for their engagement portraits. Wedding season is in full swing at Timeless Expressions and we are in preparation for next year. August 7, 2010is the big day for Caitlin and Kyle. The wedding will take place at St. John Nepomuk Church. We have be so blessed with our couples and continue to be blessed. Welcome to the family Caitlin and Kyle. After our session at Carondelet park we headed to Jefferson Barracks park to a place I had never been. I remember hearing Caitlin talk about Jefferson Barracks when we has first met. It sounded pretty special to her. Indeed it was special to her as well as her wonderful parents who I had the opportunity to meet as well last Sunday. Caitlin's parents had their wedding portraits taken at this same location. I learned quite a bit about history and the hidden beauty of this park I had no idea about. It was for me an absolute delight to photography in a new location with such a sweet couple. August 7, 2010 seems far away but before you know it, it will be here. Caitlin and Kyle congratulations. Here's a preview from their engagement session. We also had a special guest peek up out of the ground as well. Check it out.

Mollie & Eddie Married 09.12.09

Mollie & Eddie. Perhaps two of the cutest, and sweetest couple I have had the opportunity to meet were married Saturday September 12, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Their personalities are so full of life, both so outgoing. Their eyes drawn to each other and I might add the bluest eyes I have ever seen. Mollie and Eddie, inseperable, and very much in love. They'll be together forever, their very special to us. These were just a few comments I heard of Mollie and Eddie on Saturday. I know how proud their parents and family must be. They were just as special. I get the feeling that Mollie and Eddies friends will be there for life. One thing I found touching during the reception. Was a dedication speech to Grandma. God love grandma, the sweetest, most loving, and giving person and very special to Mollie and her family. Tears were flowing during that speech. Grandma is one very special lady and what a blessing to have had her touch the lives of so many. Once again Creative Services, Beau Vighn a St. Louis favorite brought down the house. I can't get enough of them. By now Mollie and Eddie are probably in Cabo by now, soaking up the sun and enjoying their new lives together. Congratulations Mollie and Eddie for letting us be a part of your special day. Special thanks to Doreen for second shooting, you were awesome. Here's a preview from Mollie and Eddie's special day!

Jennifer & Corey Married 08.29.09

One week ago today Jennifer and Corey were married at the beautiful St. Cletus Catholic Church in St. Charles. Beautiful blue skies and fabulous temps made the day absolutely picture perfect. After the ceremony we went to Old Towne St. Charles for pictures before heading off to the reception at the Bogey Hills Country Club. I met Jennifer for the first time last October for her brother Eric's wedding. Then in December we talked about her wedding. It truly is amazing how fast time goes by. It seems like yesterday we met. I would like to thank Jennifer and Corey and their families for for letting us share their special day. Special thanks to Jay of JSwisher Photography for your assistance it was very much appreciated. Congratulations Jennifer and Corey. Here's a sneak preview from your special day!

Kelly & Seth E-session

I knew when I met Kelly for the first time in consultation back in November I could tell she was going to be a lot of fun. Last Sunday I met Kelly and Seth at the Zoo, unfortunately it was such a nice day out there wasn't a place to park. We then decided to go to the Botanical Gardens which was like winning the jackpot. Talk about a blast. These two are to cute together and so much fun. Kelly and Seth are set to get married October 24, 2009. I can't wait for the big day. Here's a peak from their engagement session.

Karen & John 08.22.09

Everyone deserves a second chance at happiness. And I feel Karen and John will succeed at that second chance. Those were the words of the officiant August 22, 2009. The day Karen and John vowed to commit themselves to each other as husband and wife. Tucked away at Chaumette Vinyards of St. Genevieve stands St. Vincents-in-the-Vineyard. A quaint yet elegant chapel surrounded by rolling hills, praries, flowers, blue skies and rows and rows of grape vines. It looked like a piece of paradise. You could hear music in the backgrounds as people came from all over to sample wine, listen to music and just get out and enjoy an absolutely gorgeous day. Karen and John were surrounded by close family and friends who witnessed these two as they exchanged their vows and became husband and wife. A beautiful ceremony with much happiness and emotion. After the ceremony they enjoyed the company of their family and friends for a luncheon. The atmosphere was wonderful. I actually sampled some wine after the event and walked away with 4 bottles. Congratulations to Karen & John and their families for letting us take part in their special day. Much happiness to them. I wish them a lifelong of happiness. Here's a sneak peak from their day.

Lori & Jason 08.15.09

Since sixth grade Lori & Jason have been together. Childhood sweethearts. Over time they have faced challenges, changes, puberty, college, and whatever life tosses our way, but on August 15, 2009 Lori and Jason took their love one step further. They united together as husband and wife. Soul mates, best friends. Thats a long courtship. I'm looking down the road 60 years from now when they celebrate their anniversary I have a feeling the love they have shared thus far will be just as strong then. Lori will love Jason just as much if not more even if she has to apply polygrip to his dentures and Jason will think Lori is still the most beautiful women he has ever seen even if his sight isn't the best. I vision in 60 years these two will be celebrating their love for each other surrounded by generations of love that all began with a boy and a girl in the 6th grade. Lori and Jason are proof. Congratulations to the both of you. Here is a sneak peak from their day!

Teresa & Robert Married 08.14.09

Teresa & Robert and their families were united into one this past Friday night August 14, 2009 at the Acorn Golf Links in Waterloo. It was an intimate setting surrounded by close friends and family. When I met Teresa for the first time she was calm and ready more than ever to be united with the man she would soon spend the rest of her life with. The big day got closer and Teresa felt the butterflies just as she did the day her and Robert met. Their children whom you could feel were already one big family, in fact I remember hearing one saying we will be sisters in less than 1 hour while we were on the elevator getting ready to head for the ceremony. Teresa and Roberts children were the wedding party. One of Roberts daughter's who mentioned her love for photography and aspirations of someday going to college for photography also sung "When god made You" to them during the ceremony. Knowing the song quite well I caught myself singing silently to myself as she performed beautifully. The ceremony took place at sunset. An absolutely beautiful setting as the two exchanged their vows to each other and became husband and wife. Congratulation Teresa & Robert. Dreams do come true and I wish nothing but the best for your new wonderful family. God Bless! Here is a preview from Teresa and Roberts celebration.

Photobucket What Makes Lindsay Tick......... I say “no to boring portraits” I’m a unique individual, in fact, my entire senior class is made of individuals with different goals and aspirations and beliefs. We are all walking our own walk and our senior portraits should reflect who we are and what makes us tick. My experience at Oakville High school has really taught me a lot about myself and made me realize what truly makes me happiest. I love hanging out with my friends, sports are my passion, and my family means everything to me. I love the outdoors, fishing, hiking, bike rides, and anything else I can find to keep me entertained. Why would I want my portraits in a stuffy old studio? After high school I plan to go to college and although I do not know for sure what I would like to do for the rest of my life, I am currently very interested in physical therapy, athletic training, or potentially maybe becoming a teacher. I know that the portraits taken by the professional staff at Timeless Expressions Photography will reflect the individual that I am, what is important to me at this time in my life, and what makes me tick. My friends show me their senior pictures, and although they are all very good pictures, they all seem to look the same, same backgrounds, same positions. I want my senior pictures to be unique and reflect my personality, and I know Timeless Expressions photography can make that happen. So, why not say “no to boring portraits?” Personality & Attitude attitude is what we're all about. Call us today to book your Senior Portrait Session. Rachel & Dustin are married! 07.31.09

Rachel & Dustin were married this past Friday at the Maplewood United Methodist Church. Since the first time I met these two I found myself much intrigued by these two. There was just something about them that left me in awe. Then came the engagement session. They brought their brand new puppy Oshie. I was in love. My neighbor Tammy started telling me about the church Rachel and Dustin would be married in. I then learned this church would be filmed in the upcomming movie "Up In The Air" I then learned about Rachel's special Godmother Jan. Jan was present for the birth of Rachel and watched Rachel grow into a beautiful young intelligent woman. During the ceremony Rachel's Godmother sang, "In this very Room." During the song I visualized special events in ones life witnessed by the ones we love and it nearly brought tears to my eyes. The ceremony was beautiful. The reception was absolutely entertaining. Later that evening the crowd engaged in a dance off. Thank you Rachel & Dustin. For inspiring so many people and for sharing your love. It was an absolute pleasure being part of your special day. George Clooney In St. Louis "Up in the Air", a movie starring George Clooney, has ended its filming in St. Louis. The director is Jason Reitman and also stars Vera Farmiga, Anna Kendrick and Jason Bateman. Photos by ©Michael Kilfoy, www.studiox.us Rachel & Dustin

Suzanne & Matthew Married July 25, 2009

Suzanne & Matt were married July 25, 2009 at the Dardenne Presbyterian Church. I'm sure this couple looks familiar as we recently posted their engagement pictures. I always thought to myself Suzanne is such a beautiful girl. Blonde hair and brilliant blue eyes, good natured and very sweet. And Matt. Something about him told me he was a super man. Not just his good looks, but that grin on his face (very charming I might add) there was something about that grin. That grin reminded me of Eddie Haskell. Always up to something! It was obvious watching the two together there was the kind of love you only dream about as a child and always pray for. The kind of love that knocks you off your feet, and makes your heart beat just a little harder. Gives me goosebumps. LOL Special thanks to J.Swisher Photography and Derek with Love and Life Photography assisting me. With your talent and help we were able to capture the love that Suzanne and Matt have for one another. Thank you to Matt & Suzannes families for their warmth and kindness, we loved capturing this special day. Here's a preview from Suzanne and Matts wedding............

Lauren & Jamison's E-Session

Who let the dogs out? Who! Who!...who..who..who.. Wait wrong thought. or is it? Lauren and Jamison are getting married March 6, 2010. Engagement sessions to me are pretty important as a photographer. It gives us the opportunity to spend one to one time with the couples, we see well how the couples interact with each other, see their personalities and of course they get to know us as well. It kind of breaks the ice for the wedding day. I can't imagine not meeting your photographer until the wedding day. It does happen from time to time and things roll just fine. This is only my opinion. Lauren and Jamison chose Faust Park as the place for their engagement session. They decided to bring their entourage along with them. Meet Ivy, Brady and Madison. Their dogs, an important part of their family. I think they like dogs. Maybe love is a better term to use. The wedding reception will take place at the AKC Museum of the Dog. Lauren reminds me of the fair maiden. With her soft, ivory complection and auborn hair, perfect for her knight in shining armour Jamison to sweep her off of her feet and ride away into the sunset. Such a blessing to see such love. Take a look!

Looking for a UNIQUE way others will remember your wedding day?

Jessika & Tom are Married! 07.18.09

July 18th was a record setting day. Not only for one of the coolest St. Louis July's on record. But a day that Jessika and Tom will never forget. I had met with Jessika and Tom way back in March 2008 when they began the wedding planning process. I knew right then and there these two were meant for each other. Tom easy going and laid back. And Jessika, perhaps the most prompt organized bride I have ever met in my life. What I would give to be as organized as Jessika. Jessika has such a sweet sense about her, bubbly and spontaneous. The wedding took place at the beautiful St. Cecilia Catholic Church. After the beautiful ceremony we ventured to Charondelet Park, and the New City Gardens for portraits before the very elaborate reception at the Viking Inn. The day could not have flowed so well. Special thanks and congratulations to Jessika & Tom for including us in your special day. Check out Jessika & Tom's preview! You have to check out Jessika's eyes... Killer!

Eryn&Matthews E-session Part2

Here's a preview from Eryn & Matthew's 2nd part of their engagement session. If you saw the last one you may have noticed the umbrellas. Nuff said! The sun is shining bright. Turn em up and check them out!

Sara & Jason 07.11.09

I have to say I had the honor witness two of the nicest people exchange vows on perhaps the hottest day of the year. It's easy to forget how hot July really is these days. Sara & Jason were surrounded by wonderful friends and family. Many talents pulled together to make Sara and Jason's special day, a day to remember. They were married at Twin Oaks Presbeterian Church. The paster and his assistant were very kind and helpful. Making sure the lighting was just right. Making sure EVERYTHING was perfect for Sara & Jason. After the lovely wedding a reception was held at the church. Sara & Jason greeted their guest and they shared cake, sweet treats, fruits and cheese. After part one of the reception we ventured out for some breath taking portraits. Then arrived at the grand finale reception. Under the tent, and beneath the stars the couple shared their first danced on a dance floor that Jason hand crafted for his lovely bride Sara. There was a delightful candy bar and amazing deserts everywhere you turned. I have to add this clause. I can not be responsible for any appetites this preview may cause. Alot of sweat went into raising the tent the night before. But blessings DO happen. Friends came from all over. In the dark. Some whom they did not know to help raise the tent and decorate it for the day that Sara & Jason would celebrate forever. Fireworks and dancing, laughter, hugs and lots of candy kept the night going on. A night to remember. Sara & Jason Congratulations! You are two beautiful souls who are so blessed to have found each other. We are blessed to have been there to witness such a beautiful event. Many happy years together as one.

Eryn & Matthew's E-Session 7/12/09

This weekend was probably one of the hottest weekends St. Louis has seen in quite some time. Last Sunday I met Erin and Matthew in the ever so bright and brilliant Layfayette Distric for engagement portraits. Somebody get a fan. These two really know how to turn up the heat. So naturally they put the top down. Now before you get that idea into your mind you aught to take a peak from Sunday. Erin and Matthew are getting married this October. We dodged most of the rain. The top went up and the umbrella's came out. Check this out. Congratulations Erin & Matthew!

Comming Soon Sara & Jason's Big Day!

Stay tuned!

Amy & Derek E-session

Yesterday I met up with Amy & Derek for their engagement pictures. I have been dying for the longest time to venture out to New Town St. Charles to do portriats and FINALLY had the chance. What a cool little community all in it's own location. So many places to take pictures at. Such vibrant color and phenominal architecture. Love it. LOVE it. Love IT! Amy and Derek are getting married this November 27th. They look pretty awesome don't they! Can't wait until the big day. Congrats Amy & Derek

Stacy & Chris June 6, 2009

It's not to often I get to second shoot. When the opportunity comes I get excited. I love working with other photographers from the area. Normally Jay of JSwisher Photography assists me. This weekend the roles reversed. Stacy & Chris are such a lovely couple. They were surrounded by loving friends and family. Everything was stunning from the stained glass windows at the beautiful St. Peters Catholic Church in St. Charles. The Blanchette Park Gardens. To the awesome reception at Bear Creek Golf Club in Wentzville. It was a marvelous day. Thanks Jay for letting me shoot with you. Here's my version of the day. Congratulations Stacy & Chris. I truly enjoyed spending the day with you.

Suzie & Dale's Esession

I can't brag enough about my clients. Their personalities are all to unique, upbeat and exciting. I have met some of the most amazing people in the past 16 years of my career. Dale and Suzie are just an example of many of the exciting people I have had the honor to work with. A little about the dress Suzie is wearing. The dress is called Hanbok. More than three decades ago, hanbok, a traditional form of Korean clothing, was very much a part of every Korean's wardrobe. Like all clothing, hanbok also changed over the years with fluctuating fashion trends. Hanbok designs underwent many changes throughout Korea's turbulent history. The hanbok we wear today are reminiscent of the late Joseon Dynasty (early 20th century). In traditional hanbok design, curved features are important. As they are not meant to be tight fitting, the inherent beauty of hanbok is apparent in its elegance and style created by the abundance of material. The curves and vibrant colours of hanbok have had a significant impact on the Korean fashion industry. By combining traditional dress with modern fashion, a series of fusion hanbok designs were introduced. Designs and patterns of hanbok have even been applied to architecture. Although hanbok have become the ritual dress of choice worn only on traditional holidays, Koreans' love for hanbok is tremendous. The popularity of Korean classic dramas is causing many foreigners to take a keener interest in traditional Korean attire as well. What classic beauty. Suzie and Dale are getting married in November. Suzie will not be wearing the hanbok during her ceremony, but will be wearing it to the rehearsal and wore it during their engagement session. Suzie and Dale, thank you so much for spending the afternoon with me. What a great time and we could not have had a more beautiful day. See you soon!

Suzanne & Matt's E-Session

The big day for Suzanne and Matt is just around the corner so we met up at the Rec Plex in St. Peters last Sunday for portraits. I know I know I'm behind. Honestly I am playing catch up. They both have such fun personalities. It's always fun to see how people interact with each other. Suzanne has such gorgeous eyes. Thanks guys, I'll see the both of you in July.

Angie & Josh May 30, 2009 A Day to Remember

Angie & Josh were married Saturday May 30, 2009. Despite what the weather man said about the weekend ( sunny and beautiful) the rain decided to end just in time for this beautiful ceremony. The ceremony took place at The Butterfly House. What a beautiful setting for a wedding. Bright, and brilliant colors every where you turn. The fragrant flowers lingering. And one beautiful bride about to experience that special day we all dream of as little girls. When Angie was getting ready, I noticed pink ribbons on the bracelets she and her brides maids were putting on. I asked Angie the significance of the bracelets. Angie's mother passed away from breast cancer. I thought this was a beautiful way to honor memory of her mother Tina. The groom and groomsmen also had a pink ribbon on their lapels in Tina's memory. Tina was with us that very special day watching her daughter exchange wedding vows. The weather cleared up and turned out to be an absolutely spectacular day. Here's a preview from Angie & Josh's special day. Congratulations Angie & Josh it was a true honor sharing your special day.

Alicia & Grant May 23, 2009

I have met some extraordinary people this year, and have photographed some beautiful weddings. This wedding was no exception to the rule. Alicia and her family were so kind to invite Jay and myself to photograph her and her attendants getting ready for her big day. I also had the pleasure of meeting both Alicia and Grant's parents who were warm and very friendly. The reception was at the Scott Club at Scott Air force Base. This was my first trip to the base. I was in awe from the moment we arrived to the very end. Normally I post a few images from the day. This time I thought I'd try something different. Alicia & Grant I hope you enjoy the preview and hope you have a wonderful life together! Thank you for letting us share your wonderful day. Oh I must point out the littlest member of the wedding party the ring bearer. Assisted by her buddy Felicity were both spectacular. They couldn't have done a better job. To Alicia's mother...... I wish I could have the talent you have been blessed with when it comes to sewing. Alicia's mother made the ring bearers dress and Felicity's dress and also the beautiful Garter
